- jed: our premium were going to triple anyway. I don't agree with HCR, I think we should have had a public option and non-profit insurance providers and non-hospitals but HCR is a start to having equity for all Americans.

- Good post and a good argument. So the taxation that will happen for those who do not have insurance 2014 is constitutional? What about my freedom in the pursuit of happiness - I would be a lot happier if the uninsured paid their own way by purchasing insurance, hence the mandate to be insured.

Forget about (20) years ago - a national healthcare plan was supposed to be part of the original Social Security legislation SEVENTY-FIVE (75) years ago!!! Republicans and weak-kneed Conservative Democrats derailed it back then with the same ideological crap they're spewing now. If 75 years isn't enough time to study an issue, then we need a new form of government!!!
